Building Fund

Our ‘Every Girl, Every Opportunity’ campaign encompasses numerous exciting, planned developments and refurbishment projects which continue our focus to provide exceptional school facilities that benefit all students. Donations to this campaign so far have assisted us in completing a new Senior Studies Centre, the addition of new classrooms on Circular Drive and refurbishment projects within the primary school.

Our focus is now set on several future projects including The Canopy Cafe – a new cafeteria and adjoining greenspace, a new Arts Centre, as well as other classroom and amenity upgrades.

These projects are vital components of ensuring that all St Margaret’s students have the same opportunities and learning experiences. We hope that you will join our growing donor community in supporting this campaign.

Introducing The Canopy Cafe

Make a donation to support the development of The Canopy Cafe, a new cafeteria that articulates to a beautiful and functional greenspace, with outdoor seating that will benefit all primary and secondary students.

While providing a much-improved catering facility to our students, this significant project embraces the school’s focus on sustainability and the environment and goes hand in hand with our students’ wellbeing. Research increasingly tells us that access to green space is vital to the mental wellbeing, overall health and cognitive development of children and young people. The transformation of Avoca Courtyard, as the first stage of this project, will create an outdoor learning and social green space for our students.

We are currently working on concept designs for the internal component of the cafeteria, which will be shared soon.

Our goal is to raise $250,000 in 2023 for this special project.

Please contact our Director of Philanthropy and Stakeholder Engagement, Lara Pickering, if you would like any further information about this appeal or giving to St Margaret’s, by calling (07) 3862 0884 or email foundation@stmargarets.qld.edu.au.

Donations to St Margaret's Foundation Building Fund of $2 or more are tax deductible and gratefully received.
