Bursary Program

Donations made to the Scholarship Fund are used each year to offer bursaries to students who are experiencing financial disadvantage or hardship. Those supported are from diverse backgrounds, including regional, rural and indigenous students.

Bursaries support young women in providing the opportunity to secure a St Margaret's education or to support current students whose families may be experiencing circumstances which would otherwise prevent them from completing their education at St Margaret's. Bursaries are ongoing or one-off benefit payments to students to cover school fees, textbooks and other related educational expenses such as uniforms, travel, boarding or living costs.

Contributions to the bursary program are an investment in the current student body as funds go to students who are in financial need and who demonstrate the ability and commitment to receive a St Margaret's education and be role models for their fellow students.

In 2023, thanks to the generosity of our donor community, 16 students received bursary support. However, there is still more work to do.

A donation to the bursary program, through your donation to the Scholarship Fund, gives a girl every opportunity to chase her dreams at St Margaret's.
